Please note that the Working Session for the McGregor School Board scheduled on Monday, July 12th has been cancelled. The next regular Board Meeting will be on Monday, July 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library

Date: July 2, 2021
To: McGregor Community
From: Brad Johnson - Superintendent/Elementary Principal
Regarding: Strategic Planning
The McGregor School Board is in the early stage of developing a strategic plan. The Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) is providing guidance and assisting us with the process.
We believe it’s important to seek input from our community members during the strategic planning process because you and your peers may have ideas about the school district’s strengths and areas for improvement. To accomplish this, a forum for community members has been scheduled. We invite you to participate in this process.
The Community “Listening Session” will be July 20th, at the high school library at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will be scheduled for one hour. We hope community members will accept this invitation to attend the focus group meeting. Brad Johnson, MSBA, will lead the forum.
If you have questions about the meeting, please contact Brad Johnson at 218-768-5126; or bjohnson@isd4.org.
In addition, community members can give the school board feedback by completing the “McGregor Strategic Planning External Stakeholder Survey.” The information gathered from the survey will be analyzed by the MSBA and used to help identify school district strategic priorities.
Click on the following link to access the “Perception Survey of McGregor.” The survey is open until Midnight on July 25th.

If you can please let me know if you’ll be able to attend the listening session that will help me plan for space.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope you will assist us by participating in either the Listening Session and/or the External Stakeholder Survey.
Brad Johnson

The McGregor School District would like to thank Assistant Land Commissioner Dennis Thompson for the kind donation from Aitkin County at our Board Meeting on Monday, June 28th. The school apportionment was in the amount of $65,700.
Thank you Aitkin County for your continued support of McGregor Schools.

The 3rd graders were working on their engineering skills and seeing who could make the biggest free standing structure. I was impressed.

7th grader, Sydney, gave a presentation to Mrs. Klund's 1st grade class about her personal experiences with stuttering along with the stigmas surrounding it. She's been preparing for this for a long time by doing research on stuttering, gathering materials, and coming up with personal experiences to share. She did an amazing job!
