Grand Timber Bank and McGregor Business Education have teamed up to provide financial literacy training using the online Everfi program. This program is utilized in the Personal Finance class that all high school seniors are required to take.
Why is this program important?
One of the main reasons for economic and generational poverty happening is the lack of access of financial education programs. Learning about how our economic system works and what people need to do to survive in this system is included in this great financial literacy program. The program teaches them many skills like budgeting, understanding the wage system, buying or renting a home, understanding credit, etc. We are very lucky to have access to this great program thanks to our partnership with Grand Timber Bank in McGregor, MN.
