Connie Bartelt, Early Childhood
Energetic, Motivated, Adventurous - all words that describe little children and my love for them.
Hello, my name is Connie Bartelt and I will be the assistant teacher for the preschool program. My degree is in early childhood development. I have been employed through the district as a paraprofessional and now am excited to adventure out and have a room of my own. These next couple of weeks will be busy as we prepare the rooms for our preschool children.
My husband and I moved to McGregor four years ago. We have three children. Our oldest son who is 30 is married and they have three children, 4, 2 and 4 months. Our second son who is 27 will be getting married in October of this year. We have a daughter who is 25.
I look forward to meeting all my students and parents. I am extremely excited to begin the 2017 school year in developing and educating your children.

Alisha Beavens, 3rd Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Alisha Beavens, I am very excited to join the staff at the McGregor school. I will be a third grade teacher. I recently graduated from UW-Superior with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and with a minor in Special Education.
When I am not working with students and their families, I also enjoy playing softball, getting outdoors, and spending time with my family! I look forward to getting to know many of the families in the community. Please don't hesitate to stop in my classroom and say hello!

Joan Bloemendaal-Gruett, School Psychologist
From her first paid position mowing lawns to her position with McGregor school district - school Psychologist, Joan has understood the importance of enjoying the work a person does and taking pride in a job well done. She is committed to working with individuals of all ages as they transition their dreams to reality.
Through her work as a school psychologist, principal, chief academic officer, development director, she has first-hand experience in assisting individuals achieve their goals.
Joan was raised in Bloomington close to the old Twins baseball field; currently, she has a home outside of Hinckley on land that was once her great grandparents. Joan and her husband are incredibly blessed with three children and nine grandchildren.

Sally Bruesewitz, Elementary Special Education

I am so excited to be back at McGregor school. I student taught with Mrs. Maine and loved your school community and have always wanted to come back and teach. I have lived in Aitkin for over 22 years now and enjoy spending time outdoors gardening and reading. My family loves to spend time camping, fishing and hunting. Stop by and say "hello", my new classroom is Mrs. Maine's old one.

Lindsey Nelson, High School Math

My name is Lindsey Nelson and I am excited to begin teaching high school math this fall in McGregor! As a McGregor graduate myself, it is rewarding to be given this opportunity to come back to the community that has given me the life experience and skills to further my education. After graduating from high school, I earned my Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in education and my coaching certificate at Itasca Community College. From there, I transferred to Bemidji State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education. I am looking forward to getting to know the students at MHS and helping them become successful as they prepare for their future endeavors.

Casey Pierce, Early Childhood Special Education
Hello, my name is Casey Pierce and I am very excited to be joining the early childhood team at McGregor school. I attended school in McGregor K-12 and after graduation my love for softball brought me to college at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College where I received my Associate of Arts degree and began taking child development classes. I went on to the University of Wisconsin Superior and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduation, I moved back to McGregor and began working in the early childhood classroom. I enjoyed my time working with children so much that when the opportunity for a full-time position opened I decided that was what I wanted for my future career. I couldn't be more excited for the school year to start and get to know all the children and families.
